The Gateway Greening Urban Farm Volunteer Orientation

Come work at a 2.5 acre urban farm oasis in the heart of downtown St. Louis. Help learn about and maintain  48 raised vegetable beds, an orchard, ornamental borders, berries, beehives, a composting system, rain garden, harvest station, hawk platform, native plants and a rainwater catch cistern.

Volunteers are needed to work alongside St. Patrick Center clients in the therapeutic horticulture and job training programs to help with bed prep, planting, harvesting, market prep, general maintenance and to provide leadership opportunities and increased diversity on the farm.

Prior to beginning service, new Gateway Greening Urban Farm volunteers must attend a one-time, on-site volunteer orientation. Volunteer orientations are held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 9:00am. Individual volunteers must also commit to a minimum of one shift per month.

If you want to volunteer at the Farm, please R.S.V.P. for an orientation day.
