St. Louis Planter
Overview

The creation of The St. Louis Planter resulted from Gateway Greening’s Urban Roots participation. Originally designed and created for placement at Kiener Plaza in the heart of downtown St. Louis, this unique landscape planter is available for purchase and placement at other public spaces managed by non-profit civic and municipal organizations as well as landscapes associated with for-profit businesses.

Steps to Procure a St. Louis Planter For Your Municipality
- Determine an apporpriate location
- Identify an existing or planned stable surface for supporting the weight of the planter.
- identify a mechanism for the ongoing establishment and care of season color plantings contained with the planter(s).
- Contact Gateway Greening for fundraising literature and more information. Secure capital funding neccessary to purchase, transport and place, and fill the planter with drain material and horticultural growing media.
- Provide Gateway Greening with appropriate text for creating a recognition bronze plaque for ultimate placement on the planter (Gateway Greening can supply sample plaque layouts, coordinates procurement of plaque shop drawing for text and graphics approval, and procurement and installation of the plaque).
- Arrange logistics to physically acquire the planters
- Contact Gateway Greening to arrange a planter pick-up date and time.
