Think of our Community Resource Gardens as a helpful older sibling. These hubs provide resources and know-how to smaller community and youth gardens, supporting gardeners by supplying a variety of materials.

Community Resource Gardens

13th Street Community Garden (Old North St. Louis Neighborhood)
The 13th Street Gardens is one of the vendors at the Old North Farmer’s market on 14th Street providing healthy, fresh food for the neighborhood. You can visit the Old North Farmer’s Market June-October to see what’s growing.

Visit the garden for its rainwater harvesting demonstrations, to rent a garden bed, adopt a chicken or rent an accessible bed.

Opening Date:

March 5, 2016, 10am and the day will finish with a chili meal!

McPherson Community Garden (Skinker-DeBaliviere Neighborhood)
This northwest St. Louis City garden is closely tied to the Skinker-DeBaliviere Community Council – a local nonprofit dedicated to the neighborhood’s improvement. It features 60+ raised garden beds, fruit trees and ornamental plantings throughout the garden.

Wayside Community Garden (Normandy, MO)
Located on a beautiful three-acre site, The Citizens for the Advancement of Normandy first established this garden to draw attention to the historic home on the property — a private estate once inhabited by the infamous Hardy family (Hardy Salt Company).
