March is around the corner, and you know what that means!  The subtle scent of freshly turned soil, the more pungent smell of onions on your fingertips after pushing slips into the ground, and ample opportunities to volunteer with your friends at Gateway Greening.

The Great Perennial Divide is Gateway Greening’s main plant distribution event that distributes donated plant material free to approximately 75  community gardens each year!  Volunteers are needed to prepare the property and organize plant material during the GPD prep week.  Complimentary breakfast and lunch provided.  RSVP to Hannah.

Friday, May 4 Distribution Shifts:  8:30am-12pm & 12:30pm-4pm

Volunteers willing to share their knowledge of hardy sun and shade perennials, Missouri natives, ground covers, bulbs and grasses are needed to provide plant selection assistance and facilitate plant distribution days.  Complimentary breakfast and lunch provided.  RSVP to Hannah.

Time:  9am-12pm
Location:  South sidewalk of Kiener Plaza at Market Street

Volunteers are needed to help beautify downtown by planting annuals in the Market Street medians.  Complimentary pastries and Imo's pizza provided.  RSVP to Hannah, and please bring work gloves, a refillable water bottle and a preferred hand tool for planting.
